Judy Delaforce

Judy has a background in the City having spent over 20 years at various City institutions, including Barclays where she ran a national consumer facing innovation project and was regional Hon. Sec. for the Institute of Bankers. At Fidelity Investments Judy was PEP Manager and a founder member of PEPMA where she headed the communications sub-committee. After a spell as a senior product development manager Judy headed media relations for Fidelity International where she spearheaded a number of international initiatives.

At IMRO she headed the media and events functions, designed the first regulatory website and started consumer roadshows and an active press and parliamentary programme for the Board, in addition to training over 200 staff on crisis handling. She also advised firms on Board related regulatory announcements. When the government announced the merger of ten regulatory bodies Judy sat on the Communications committee and was key in ensuring smooth internal communications and merger announcements. At the FSA she then ran the communications area focusing on both internal and external communications and the integration of various disciplines from previous regulatory bodies reporting to the Chairman, Executive and Board.

In 2000 Judy became a consultant to the industry and FSA, providing consulting, coaching and training on regulatory, communication, product and people development matters. She has worked with CTP since 2001 on Board evaluations, ARROW visits, board development and executive coaching. She now leads the Women and Success series of programmes and masterclasses and heads Board development services for CTP Global. She is a regular contributor of Board related articles to the Institute of Chartered Accountants Finance and Management Magazine, and to Thomson Reuters, for both Complinet for senior compliance professionals and Complinet HR, where her articles are frequently in the Top 20 most read.

Judy's training includes NLP Business Master Practitioner and Coach, Time Line Therapist, Counselling, Transpersonal Psychology and various other psychological disciplines. As part of an MA in Coaching Judy studied presentation skills over a six month period and is frequently asked to deliver training and individual coaching on this subject. Judy is an Alumnus of Ashridge Business School and a Member of the European Mentoring & Coaching Council.
